The Highest University in the Land - 46

Here we see preparations for the Golden Bridge.

A Huge Piling Rig has moved onto the Campus site to prepare foundations for a new pedestrian and cycle bridge linking the Campus to the city.

The Golden link designed by 7N Architects will also join the campus to the Centre for Health Sciences, Raigmore Hospital and Lifescan Scotland.

Ewan Anderson leads the 7N Architects team and is an architect and urban designer with over 20 years of experience.

The Bridge will span the entire width of eight lanes of the highway (A9) in one dramatic sweep, clearly visible to all road users. Incredibly it is proposed to build it off site and then for the entire structure to be lifted into place. Preparation works will continue into the autum when it is expected that this exciting engineering project will be completed in a single lift.
