Stirling Castle - 25

Between the years 1538 and 1542, James V had a new Royal Palace built at Stirling Castle in celebration of his marriage.

In 1542 Mary Queen of Scots was born to James V and Mary of Guise.

Six days after her birth, James V died, and the baby Mary was crowned Queen in Stirling Castle.
