After Jesus has been condemned to death, he is made to carry his own cross to Calvary. In this picture we see Jesus welcoming the cross with open arms - he almost appears to be embracing it. He bears the cross so willingly, because he is going to die for love of you and me. By his death he will free us from our slavery to sin and death.How much do we love Jesus?
