Psalter: Week 2 - Sunday

It may be Lent, but today is the Day of Resurrection, so we sing that great paean of praise - Psalm 150.

Praise God in his holy place,
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his powerful deeds,
praise his surpassing greatness.

O praise him with the sound of the trumpet,
praise him with lute and harp.
Praise him with timbrel and dance,
praise him with strings and pipes.

O praise him with reounding cymbals,
praise him with clashing of cymbals.
Let everything that lives and breathes
give praise to the Lord.

Happy Sunday!

I really enjoy this psalm especially the music it's set to by I think Colin Mawby for Westminster Cathedral Choir. Obviously during Lent we can't sing the alleluia part. I have a video of the cathedral choir singing it at the vigilof carols & readings before Midnight Mass in 1990.

Yes, I too have the video. We shall have to wait five more weeks before we can use the Colin Mawby setting!

Yes it's a great setting. Is that a stained glass guitar!!??? Where is it?

Yes, it is a stained glass guitar - but cannot recall where it is! I think it is a Methodist church somewhere.
