Here is the famous bridge on which The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were often photographed with Prince Charles and Princess Anne when they were young children.
Sadly, the gate was padlocked - 'for health and safety reasons'. We really are becoming a nanny state!

I think it is not so much a care for safety as a fear that the company or organisation may be sued.
