Alleluia! Sing to Jesus - 8

Today is Low Sunday - the Octave Day of Easter. Our focus today is on Thomas meeting the Risen Lord.

When Thomas afterwards had heard
That Jesus had fulfilled his word,
He doubted if it were the Lord.
Alleluia!

'Thomas, behold my side,' saith he,
'My hands, my feet, my body see;
'And doubt not, but believe in me.'
Alleluia!

No longer Thomas then denied;
He saw the feet, the hands, the side;
'Thou art my Lord and God,' he cried.
Alleluia!

Blessed are they that have not seen,
And yet whose faith hath constant been,
In life eternal they shall reign.
Alleluia!

Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

More postings in this mini-series will follow every Sunday up to and including the Solemnity of Corpus Christi on 25 May. Weekday posts will follow various different themes.

I am pleased you had a good trip to Wurzburg - and got back safely. I had a couple of days up in the Highlands during Easter Week - in fact my post for Easter Thursday was published in McDonalds Inverness - a wi-fi hotspot! All I had to do was purchase a fair-trade coffee to get free access!

The Cardinal's homily about Thomas which was his confirmation name was inspiring and heartening as he said everyone has doubts!
